As a member of the squadron of sysadmins at Ultraspeed, I’m often doing my job in diverse locations – usually in our exotic and exclusive Shoreditch home base, but from our datacentres in the City of London and Amsterdam too. I’m also a gigantic mobile technology geek, and I’ve been looking into ways to use it to make my life, and my colleagues’ lives, easier and more efficient. In this post, I’m going to go through the best tools for the mobile sysadmin for both iOS (iPhone & iPad) and Android that I’ve found in my adventures across both app stores.
Awards Shows, Interviews & Snow: November in Review
November is over and it’s a snowy day in London-town. In our now wonderfully white corner of Shoreditch, Ultraspeed is gearing up for Christmas and finishing off what has been a rather busy month.

As finalists in the UK IT Industry Awards we attended the ceremony at Battersea on November 11th and had a wonderful time meeting all the contestants. The BCS put on a fantastic event, complete with twitter wall, which, as we were unaware of it’s existence and had all tweeted our enthusiasm, showed the Ultraspeed team for quite some time in it’s giant LCD display, much to our embarrassment!
